How I review products
The product shelf helps people find the items linked from my social media videos. A product page can be a simple reference with a shopping link. It is not automatically a recommendation or a tested review. These videos typically start off as ads. When I publish a real review, I write what I observed, what I did not test, and who I think the item suits.
When I say these start out as ads, I still mean what I say. I’m never paid to give a particular opinion. Unless I say otherwise, I basically haven’t spent enough time with the product to call it a full review.
If I received an item at no cost, I say so on its product page. Shopping links may earn me a commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. A gift or commission does not establish whether a product works well.
Reviews can change as products fail, wear, get replaced, or prove more useful over time. I date meaningful revisions and explain what changed. If you see an error or have a question about a product page, use the contact form and identify the page.
