Sunset Park, Brooklyn
September 22th, 2017
2nd time, but not the last
Becca and I had a rare Friday afternoon when we were both free and wanted to try something new, sort of. She came up with a cool idea to visit Sunset Park for, well, sunset.
I've been to Sunset Park only once before, out of curiosity and without a camera when I was new to the city several years ago. Upon returning, I remembered how unique this place is. Aside from many different cultures under one neighborhood umbrella, the scenes and landscapes that it produces is something special.
On the big hill you can see many different sights. For one, the Statue of Libery is totally dwarfed by the rest of the NYC skyline. I love looking at the Statue of Liberty and seeing the size perspective from different areas all around NYC.
When we arrived, we went to the park and waited for golden hour to arrive. I played around with light, texture and different compositions.
Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?
The light got better and better every minute.
I didn't realize that summer officially ended today. You wouldn't be able to tell by the feel of the air. However, the light had a hint of yellow and the leaves are starting to change.
Thanks, Sunset Park
We only spent about an hour, maybe two, in the park. Until next time, Sunset Park. Thanks for being awesome.
